24 Parody

usually every other weekend, I’ve been producing video announcements for my church and have had them air during service. it really hasn’t been until recently that i’ve invested into a new video camera (about time) and made the following announcement (parody of Fox’s “24”) as the opening video for the new camcorder and to help promote the fall festival october 31st. it aired this past Sunday at church and while i don’t plan on having all our videos be like this one, it was still pretty fun to put together. enjoy. 🙂

McD Monopoly

McDonalds Monopoly… I should know better than to eat at that place, but after all these years, the game has been really inviting… all i’ve ever really won was a small coke.  Today, I got the premium sandwhich [blah] with my friend, and both of us were eyeing everyone who weren’t keeping their game pieces.  We were able to nab a few, but it didn’t get us anywhere.  Good times, good times… but tomorrow will be Chic-fil-A.

QB Flirted with my sister

So how do you respond as a brother when you discover that Chris Leak, quarterback and Heisman Candidate of the University of Florida “Gators” [not to mention the #5 College Football team in the nation as well as undefeated], flirted and carried a lengthy conversation with my sister [Idania – 21], walked her to her car, then… she drove him to his and somehow they ultimately exchanged numbers to “keep in touch” and he’ll [possibly] be calling her in the next couple days to arrange to “hang out sometime.”  He was pretty insistent about it.  Sure, big brother is certain to help disperse wisdom, but sheesh… this is some pretty neat news.  🙂

wild coincidence update: Mom was also hit on by a University of Florida quarterback at exactly my sister’s age.  My mom had just moved from California to Jacksonville and at a dance club, when this guy approached her wanting to dance with her.  Little did she know, he had bet the football team $100 that he would get the beautiful spanish girl to dance with him. When my mom shut him down, the team was in the background laughing and giving high fives.  They eventually talked for a little bit, and he had asked for her to come to a practice… and she never did.  man… what is it with the ladies in my family!?

ESOAL

last year, E.S.O.A.L. went through a hurricane (no kidding, interns were fighting hypothermia)… this year… it started last night (wednesday) instead of the usual thursday night start time.  sheesh, is this the first time they’re starting on wednesday night?  are we sure its still going on until sunday, or is it going for a week now?  you never know… this is dave hasz’s favorite time of the year.  😉

i rang out about an hour before the event ended, talk about a pride shaker right there…  you?

p.s. keep our fellow interns in prayer.

Emo?

“emo”

alright… so what does this mean?

i mean, it can’t be that complicated, right (?)

is there any special formula that makes one this way?

Sister Published

i’m so proud of her. 🙂 my younger sister, Idania (21) was published in the local newspaper yesterday (her first piece) on a piece on 9-11, and i had a really cool video that i took for it with the newspaper, my sister talking about it, etc… it was pretty neat and i had a good idea for the music and all, but alas… i accidentally deleted the footage. sorry, Idania.

you can still check it out for yourself by clicking here. Or you can click hereor here… and you are still allowed to be impressed.
