ever go back home and notice your town added stuff… and they didn’t even ask if you’d appreciate it?
my sisters are all extremely beautiful and little vivi (5) has a play
that I get to see Friday. she’s so excited that i get to see
it. she tells me that I have to be the pilgrim. “ok, love,
i’ll be the pilgrim” hilly (12) and i are going to go on a night
on the town for dinner and some ice cream. we’re also going to
listen to book 3 of the Chronicles of Narnia on tape and then i’m going
to give her book #4 to read. she’s having a difficult time
reading, and while book 3 is a little challenging, we’re going to pass
to book 4. i’ve been helping her improve on her reading
skills. she’s pretty pumped. idania (20) and my mom
(unlisted), both beautiful as ever… it’s really good to see the
entire family.
i visited my step-father last night… that was tough. it’s a
little easier after having spent a considerable amount of research on
heaven for my book, and knowing that’s where he’s going… but it still
just stinks that this is happening and equally difficult for the
family. he’s a little spaced out with all the drugs and they’re
waiting for a bed from hospice to open up so he can move there.
i’m just glad i had a coherent discussion with him before all of this
went down, because he hardly knows who anyone is right now. the
hardest part is that this is hilly and vivi’s biological father.
vivi doesn’t understand what’s going on, and hilly is having a
difficult time. sigh. i’m just glad i can be here for them. thank you for your prayers. seriously.
i spoke with a lady on the plane (catholic) about the Lord. she’s
searching “other religions.” i explained about the relationship the
Lord desires to have with us and compared it to love over a husband and
love over a child (she has two children herself). we didn’t come
to any definite conclusions, but I closed the discussion by telling her
to question everything about religion. i just wish i had more
time (don’t we all).
i’m praying for your family… it’s healthy to grieve – just know that they’re are people behind you, supporting you.
Hey there Erik, Glad to see you made it. I know it’s hard . I could tell you about my dad but maybe later. Just enjoy the time with your family. Hug them, cry with them. rejoyce with them.Pray with them..
Now for the lady on the plane, She told you that the ground was fertile, You planted the seed. and you told her to ask questions. Now she needs water, (living water) to make it grow. that she has to ask for……good job Erik
I love to travel because you have someone next to you that you can talk to. I ALL ways ask God to put me next to someone that I can witness too.where they gonna go??? lol
remember to pray ALL ways..
You are amazing Erik, thanks for sharing all of this. I am praying for your family. It’s great that you can be there for them in this time.
