i feel like a little boy having a blast this morning.

today, it’s a game called “lets’ see if anyone can guess that i’m not a
campus visitor”.   it’s a campus visit weekend at liberty
university and there are literally hundreds of guests that are…
well… lost.  so, i’ll come in and show them where to go, welcome
the parents, and pretend like I’m just a student that’s been around a
hundred times.
man,
i could totally work as a spy for the CIA.  even now, i’m parked
at a cafe with lappy and enjoying the moment.  next, i’ll go to
some foreign soil and do the “let’s see if anyone can guess that i’m
not a tourist” (i’ve already done a great job at NYC and other places,
leading groups to do the same).

there’s a few classes i’m going to jump in on, and then i’ll meet with
a person regarding a marketing position.  here’s the deal: if i
don’t get the job, i don’t go to liberty.  the odds are not in my
favor, so please keep it in prayer that the Lord gives me some form of
favor.  other options include texas and florida (and i really
don’t want to go to florida).

  1. Well I must say that seemingly impossible situations seem to be God’s specialty. It is in these situations that we know it is not only His favor but His plan, purpose and love for us that allows us to be placed in such wonderful circumstances. However, there is also comfort knowing that even if this thing that we know is so good…and it is, doesn’t happen there is somthing better (maybe even the CIA…lol). I feel situations like this help us to understand the hope that we have in the faithfulness of our loving God. As Romans 5 says, hope does not disappoint. I wish you the best, I look forward to the soon to be posted result of this visit.

  3. You make me laugh so hard! I can’t believe you, Erik! How have you been? It was good seeing your face around campus during Alumni weekend….we have our first HAW this weekend…I’m so excited. I’m really bummed though that I can’t be a CA 🙁    that was like my favorite thing about being in the MOB….I asked Kimmie if I could and she laughed and said no…..sad day. Actually being a CA during HAW made me want to stay a second year! Anyways, have a great day!
