ESOAL

last year, E.S.O.A.L. went through a hurricane (no kidding, interns were fighting hypothermia)… this year… it started last night (wednesday) instead of the usual thursday night start time.  sheesh, is this the first time they’re starting on wednesday night?  are we sure its still going on until sunday, or is it going for a week now?  you never know… this is dave hasz’s favorite time of the year.  😉

i rang out about an hour before the event ended, talk about a pride shaker right there…  you?

p.s. keep our fellow interns in prayer.

i made it to the end
    it was harrrrrrrrrd
and i owe all of it to my 3 remaining teammates
especially my friend, miles kirst, because he pulled me out of the mud every time
    ahhh, the memories  🙂

  2. this picture is becoming famous. Who had it first? it’s on my site, your site, and Brandon’s. haha.
Yeah, I rang out with my team about an hour or so before.
    ESOAL is so much fun.
It’s giong to last 5 days this time. that’s so hardcore intense.
    Wish I was there.

  3. I have been thinking about my friends who are participants.  I talked to them last night before they started….they are still doing it.  Ug, it brings back memories.  It is funny how we are far removed from TM right now and still very aware of what is going on.  I think it is really good!

  4. that happened to me the first year [ringing out an hour before].  last year it was the hypothermia that got me.  it stunk.  oh well.  prayers are effective for sure.  major lesson last year.

    hope you’re doing well!

p.s. are you in FL now…I forget (sorry).. and what part of FL is it?  [my parents are probably going to move down there semi-soon]

  5. yep, pride comes before the fall!  That’s a fact.  I heard God tell me to ring out Saturday, but didn’t.  On sunday, that’s when I had the incident of a nail almost completely taking my eye out.  Yeahhh….God is gracious.  That’s all I gotta say.
