tuesday, tuesday…

what a beautiful day — my baby sister, little viviana, turned six tuesday and i had the beautiful honor of playing a role in the covert-ops mission of delivering cupcakes to her kindergarten class…

after school, as a little gift from big brother, i gave her a stick of gum and let her take a drive around the neighborhood… she’s a natural — well, she drove all over the road, but still… absolutely priceless.

hilliary (12) was in the passenger seat freaking out (ha), but vivi couldn’t stop talking about it about it all day long.

oh — and she talked about the cup cakes too (score).  😉

of course, the day really blessed me more than it ever blessed her, but man — you couldn’t tell because she was all smiles.  all throughout the evening we shared sweet little kisses and some special new “big girl” conversations.  i’m just so glad i was actually here to play a part of it instead of over a silly phone.  so special.

  1. Let me just say how beautiful she is- I CANT BELIEVE IT!!

I told Heidi that when she gets older and Im in this whole doctor bit, shes going to (as if she doesnt already) have me to wrapped around her finger that whatever vivi wants, vivi gets!

Incredible…simply incredible…Im glad you were there to see it and live it.

so im kicking around this idea- I will call and inform you about it later

  2. she is extremely beautiful.
i couldn’t help but smile at the memories
of my dad letting me “drive” when i was younger.
what fun. hah. also, i was laughing
trying to think about what those kids are
saying about those cupcakes in that last picture.
the little girl next to ViVi is so adorable.
everyone of them have a cupcake showing except
for the little girl with her back to you.

  3. she is such a beautiful girl…  it just amazes me at how much you love her… you know a lot of people say they love, but your actions are truly behind your words and that’s what really matters.  she’s going to remember this for a long time.  🙂  i love it!

i’m glad you made it home safely… i hope this next step in your life is exciting and full of God.  🙂  which i know it will be both.

donuts would be really nice right now… i wish you could just walk down to our department again… such fun times!

thanks for the little note you left… you are missed as well.  friend. 🙂

  4. Hey Eric! Seeing those pictures brought me back to when I was 5 and 6. The excitement I had at that age when my “older brother”  would let me drive on his lap like you did with your sister. (He was a spiritual son to my parents). I havent really thought about it in a long time–but it was great seeing those pictures. I thought it was the coolest thing ever and Im sure your sister did too. She must love having you as an older brother. Being there for those so called little things, are really big. I have younger siblings too (with a big age gap) and I understand what you mean by those things blessing you as well… blessings!
