i’m moving to florida.
the last place i wanted to be, and yet… it’s where i must go. (sound like a familiar story?)
while i’ve used this 3 month break to just rest, write and pay off some debts that i’ve accumulated along the way, it’s been a great break — more like a sabbatical. the picture above was taken just the other evening on my bed (you can see my white socks to the left) and bouncing ideas back and forth to josh on a subject i’m addressing in my book. josh and i went to the Outback last night for our last dinner out… josh, i’m gonna miss ya buddy. i’ll be making the trek to florida all day tomorrow (thursday) and friday and would really appreciate any phone company along the way. let me know or feel free to call if you have a chance.
while i haven’t really much of a clue on what’s in store for me while i move on to this new season of my life and finish college.. i’m excited to see what the Lord has for me next. i just have to wonder though — what’s the Lord have up his sleeve this time. oh yes…

You know, when I graduated the last thing I wanted to do was move home. I knew what it was going to be like, I had good reasons for not wanting to move back. Unfortunately sometimes there just aren’t many choices but one still has to be made. It’s not necessarily the best position to be in but I guess it happens. I hope things go well for you when you get back to FL, I’m sure your familia is absolutely thrilled that you will be closer to them. I’m still trying to figure out what the deep, profound reason is that I ended up back home…I’m told everything happens for a reason.. .’-)
Florida huh? Well, you can count on my prayers for your trip and for whatever this next season holds.
horray for FL! God is sort of funny huh? it’ll be good. and we can have sonnys when you get back to celebrate….or whatever. you can call me if you get super bored when you’re driving. I’ll be free all day Friday, and most of tomorrow afternoon.
(insert tears here…) I gonna miss having a little brother around. You can call anytime, even if it is 3 o clock in the morning. Although i comment on size i will always call you my big brother in all the help you givin me along the way. Thanks for being you and we will look back at this someday and sit IT WAS ALL WORTH IT.

haha i read the romans passage and your “law of infatuation” …. i think the Lord gave you a little treasure to share with that lil revelation. well buddie about coming back to FL and it being the last place you want to be … i TOTALLY feel you on the issue. i went through it when i left the HA… but i can mos def say that God was in control and i look back and say … if i wouldve been anywhere else it would not be where God PLANNED for me to be. so yea thats my two cents …. be safe on you ride back. welcome back to the sunshine state!

Erik! How exciting, you’re on your way to FL, or in FL when you read this. Jamie Percy and I might be making a visit to the Tampa area around July – we’re not certain yet. How are things going?
