just imagine — the people of guatemala, spain, columbia, cuba and other spanish speaking countries — beginining to love the Lord in a way that explodes through the borders and becomes alive in the hearts of men, women and children all throughout the countries of latin america, spain, cuba, etc… and abroad.friends, this is what’s been stirring in my heart lately, and while i could write paragraphs, perhaps even volumes on specifically what the Lord has recently been putting on my heart regarding this vision, I do know this — i’m liking it.
to love, write, disciple, build and maybe even preach some — yes, i’m liking it indeed.
oh and a side note — money is no object to the Lord, and while that doesn’t necessarily mean that i’ll be showered in financial security throughout this ride, it does mean that He will certainly provide every step of the way. i’m continuing to work on my writing and yes — still in the process of working on a book — but slowly and surely, the Lord is revealing the rest of His plan for me. I’m working on some computer certifications right now that i’ll finish by the summer that will easily insure that I can fall back and “make a living” with perhaps 100k a year, but man — to have a life not surrounded not by money but by loving people — that’s so sweet to me. I’m currently under the leadership of an old mentor of mine working full time and being trained as a carpenter, while also learning all the small details of how to build a house (which is indeed, priceless) — and perhaps all leading up to something greater… can you see it?
and while i could go on and on, the Lord continues to open the veils of my heart and show me His vision hidden within me… not just some distant dream, within ME — mmm… so sweet. and it all started by asking the very question I left you all last week — somehow, it breaks down the limitations society has placed on us and allows us to dream the way God dreams — seriously, Who do you think put those desires deep in Your heart? — look deep enough… it’s all really a gift to you. 🙂
oh, and by the way — i really enjoyed reading your answers. 🙂
question for you — if i offered you a free mission trip to anywhere in the world — anywhere — where would you go?
that’s awesome, erik – the Lord WILL fulfill your dreams because you’re dreaming his heart…. ah, i know he’s pleased 🙂
that’s cool. so you need to get on top of your Spanish now. haha. i just scanned to comments of your last post. and it was cool to see all that all the sweat kids commented. they’re all so cool.
I can’t wait to see you…Only 11 days until the wedding…
Thank you for giving Denver a ride back…
Love you, Bro!

This is beautiful.
Yeah I know…
he has actually been in Oregon since he was 9 years old!
Definately NOT F.O.B.(Fresh off the boat)!!!!! 🙂
Although I am open to your input still…go ahead elaborate brother!
very cool…
well, i don’t really know why i like that saying… maybe it’s just that i’ve heard it a lot lately, and i’ve never really thought about what it means until today. if you’re preaching to the choir then there’s really no point in saying it because they already understand. ? make any sense? haha
I worked with a guy who stated that his spanish was ‘Muie Grande’
…
…he had very large spanish. Lol.
And in answer to your question, New Zealand. No question in my mind.
Spain!!!
where would you go?
Believe it or not. Right where I’m at. Sounds crazy but I feel that this is where God wants me to be. I’m being used for his glory. I have a job that I love. I have the time off to help out where I feel I’m needed. Yea, sometimes money gets tight but I don’t let that get in the way. Sometimes I have it and sometimes not.
It doesn’t cost to lend a helping hand. Just be there when needed. There are many “willing ” to go. but they only see the glory that come from ALL the hard work. They forget about the work before it.
I think that we are ALL missionaries, where we are, when we are there. So where are you???
remember to pray ALL ways..
my true mother country…Puerto Rico…
this verse immediately came to mind (after reading this post):
God can do anything, you know–far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Ephesians 3:20 (The Message)
a free missions trip to anyplace in the world? oh’ Erik…New Zealand? ok maybe not i’d really be going there to see Ariella 🙂 ummm lets see Israel, India, Spain…those are the first that come to mind.

Right now? This summer? Mexico- with enough materials to build 2 homes for some people who don’t have any, and enough time to share the gospel more thoroughly with those who would listen. Wanna go?!
By the way, whahtahisohghklashtap? You’re a carpenter?!! Get out! Me too!@!
Right now I would take a trip to Honduras, my home country. I would love to see them come to know the Lord.
a mission trip any where in the world…I would go to a tribe in the jungle of an unreached people group.
Bro,
right now I say you and I make a little Mexican fiesta trip to Los Lupes and get lost in the world of incredible Hispanic food. I love you a lot man, and will sorrowfully miss the opportunity to see and hang out with you.
