it’s been 13 years…
… that I haven’t been to North California, the place where my father and half my family lives… my birthplace. In just four days (Easter Sunday) I have a plane ticket to go back and visit the place where I grew up for the first 8 years of my life. The family is pumped, I’m pumped, my father is pumped… it’s just going to be a week of reunion! My dad’s been calling almost every day and we’ve already figured out who I’ll be meeting on what dates, the places he wants to take me and the recipes that I’ll be teaching him and he’ll be teaching me some as well (i got the better end of the deal though). We’ll even be going to the Sacramento ATF as well with my little brother (6th grade) that I met for the first time at my HA graduation. This is going to be a beautiful blessing.

By the way, I got your cell from Shelley a while ago and it hasn’t worked since I tried the first time… I’ve seriously called you at least 20 times now to talk (so no I haven’t tried to stay out of contact), but found recently that you changed your cell phone awhile ago, along with the number. By the way, you were born in Greenville, California. The sierra nevada, at the foot of mount lassen volcano. Such excitment!. There’s a small lake I use to sit and ponder when I was expecting you and would often daydream of you. This lake sits nestled in the mountains overlooking the valley. A tranquil place, Gods country. Lake Tahoe is not far from your home town of Crescent Mills. Call me Son when you get there. I LOVE YOU….MOM

Ahh! YAY! I am so excited…I could jump around in circles! But I will contain myself. I hope you don’t expect to see any beaches in Sacramento though. Maybe just the river front, hehe. I am glad you are feeling better too! Give me a call so we can work out the details. And if you want to make use of those new recipes…well…you know that I am here for you! =P I will continue to pray for you as you travel out here and get some quality time with your family. No more mediating when reuniting, ok? Make sure to enjoy them!

Ooopppsssss. I”m not very good at names. Do you have a picture that I can see or maybe a refresh memory of whether we ever met before? You definitely got me curious now.
Is that picture of Northern California? It looks like the road I would take to get from Sacramento to Reno (where I grew up) ….well, I guess there are a lot of roads that look like that…isn’t it beautiful? I love the mountains!
